My Story
Zanzibar is not my travel destination. It's my home.
I grew up here – with my feet in the warm sand, the scent of cloves, the sound of the ocean. As a child, I knew the tides before I could read the clock.

At home, my wife and children are waiting – family is the most important thing for me. I treat my guests the same way: honestly, warmly, and with the wish that you have the best time.
I speak German, plan at your pace, and am there for you on-site. Karibu – warmly welcome.
Why I'm doing this
How I met Haji
In 2022, I was on the island for my own Zanzibar trip – and I bumped into Haji at my hotel. What started as a brief hello turned into a long conversation: about Zanzibar, his family, his dreams, and what drives him. He taught himself German through YouTube and spoke to me in German from the very first moment.
I've been running a marketing agency (LeadCaptain.de) for over ten years and spent hours on my laptop on the island. Haji asked what I was doing, and I told him – that's how two worlds collided, and it turned into a true friendship. Not a friendship of convenience, but one I admire and cherish. What impresses me about Haji: I've rarely encountered so much motivation and positivity – he knows no problems, only solutions.
Haji never asked for anything. Until one day he asked if I could support him – as a guide, he mainly earns his living, and as a father, he does everything for his family. I immediately said yes. Because it fulfills me in the exact passion I work in full-time – and because it helps someone I value to support his family.
That's exactly why Zanzibar Tours exists: to bring Haji's tours to Germany and Europe, so you can experience the genuine, warm host I met back then. Karibu.
